Our Learning Environment
We are licensed and inspected by the town of Wells and the State of Maine’s Department of Human Services. Our property at 68 Coles Hill Road, Wells has four acres of landscaped and wooded yard we use for guided nature hikes and our studies of the changing of the seasons. In winter the children can slide on our gentle slopes, catching glimpses of paw prints in the fresh snow. The children have identified birds, deer, foxes, moose and butterflies! The playground area has a large commercial swing set with a loft, 2 slides, 8 swings and a two-seater horse.
Inside our brightly decorated classrooms we have 1,700 sq ft of space for our themed room; dramatic play center; and math, creative art, storytime, and science centers. With a ratio of 1 teacher to 8 children there is plenty of room for creative play and movement.
